Heart Songs includes acoustic versions of her songs Saw You On The Road and Love So Deep and covers of songs by Hank Williams, Tom Waits, and Patty Griffin. There are also new original songs, ranging from songs of love and loneliness to social commentary and an acoustic slide guitar instrumental.

Frances was nominated for the 2005 New AC/Hot AC Artist of the Year Award by New Music Weekly Magazine with two regional Top Ten hits--True Love and American Girl from her debut album Don't Say Goodbye.
